Crisp, clean, chilly air,
Variegated leaves abound.
Harvest festivals,
Apple-picking, pies, cider
All herald the new season.
Acorns and pine cones,
Pumpkin gourds for Hallowe’en.
October signals
It’s one last hurrah before
Old man winter takes over. ❅
